In 2013, we began clearing three acres of abandoned farm land. With generous support from the UN Global Environment Facility, we built a model organic cocoa farm.
OUR MODEL COCOA FARM
In addition to clearing debris and planting lots of cocoa trees, we've added paths, drainage and informational signs. We've also added an organic composting station and a cocoa tree nursery.
When there's no school, some of our workers bring their young siblings along for some fun on the farm, perhaps inspiring the next generation of cocoa farmers.
